• Use organic chemicals, insecticide-Safer Soap brands or Wondercide brand. Natural fertilizers, many different options available online.
• Cover window wells, basement steps and all holes on your property.
• Store crab traps inside and use safe legal TED doors on all crab traps in use.
• Use barbless circle hooks when fishing.
• Put out a low water-dish in shady location on hot days.
• No balloons, straws or single-use plastics.
• Do not boat in low waters.
• Watch your dog, even a minor turtle injury from your dog can kill the turtles. Get help.
• Look under the car tires before pulling out.
• Cut lawn mid-day with blade 8" or above.
• Watch driving April - October. They are active at dawn and dusk, mostly after rain.
• Please clean up your fishing gear and dispose of it properly, as it kills many marine species!
• Please cut up 6-pack holders before trashing.
• If you hook a turtle do not cut line. Get help.
